Trees will be pruned during night-time starting on 10 November

Night work will be carried out on Mäkelänkatu from midnight to morning on four nights from Monday to Friday during the week starting 10 November. The work will cause moderate night-time noise and temporary lane closures.

During the night, lime tree branches in poor condition are cut down where they are close to the tram tracks. In addition, trees in poor overall condition are removed. For occupational safety reasons, the most demanding parts of the work must be carried out during the night-time tram traffic stoppage.

Renovation work has started – impact on traffic starting on 10 November

Preparatory work, such as the installation of worksite boards and the preparation of traffic arrangements, is carried out during the first week of November (week 45).

Traffic arrangements to be used during the worksite will be made during the weeks starting on 10 and 17 November. Lanes will be closed, leaving one lane for motor vehicles in each direction.
