Health check-ups for the unemployed

If you are an unemployed jobseeker, you are entitled to a health check for the unemployed.

During a health check, we will examine your general state of health.

Complete the digital health check through the Omaolo service or at a MedicubeX self-measurement station at the Kalasatama or Vuosaari health station. After completing the digital health check, you can contact your health station if needed.

If you are unable to use digital services and are registered as an unemployed jobseeker, you can alternatively request a referral for a health check from Helsinki Employment Services.

You can request a referral from employment services for a remote health check-up at your health center, if necessary.  After a health check-up by a nurse, you will be referred to a doctor who will assess your work ability and functional capacity, if necessary. During the health check-up, you will be provided with a personal care or service plan.
Bring up your health in employment services if

  • it has been a long time since your previous health check-up
  • your are concerned about your health
  • your ability to work and rehabilitation needs should be determined.
