General upper secondary schools

There are 14 general upper secondary schools and 1 general upper secondary school for adults run by the City of Helsinki. Two of our general upper secondary schools also have lines for adults. Each school has either a special emphasis on a particular subject, or a so-called special educational task. You can also study in the general programme in most of our general upper secondary schools. There are also private general upper secondary schools in Helsinki.
