Autumn 2025 influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations

Appointment booking for influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations opens for people aged 65 and over on 16 September in Maisa and on 17 September by phone. For those under 65, appointment booking opens on 8 October in both Maisa and by phone.

Home care

In home care, we provide elderly clients with the support they need to maintain their independence at home. You can receive home care if there has been an apparent decline in your functional capacity and you are having trouble coping with everyday activities without assistance. 

Home care may also involve support services, such as meals or safety phone services.

We have divided home care into eight units according to the city districts. Each home care unit has several local service areas.

Home care supports living at home
You can apply for home care if you are unable to live in your home independently or with the help of your close relatives and friends. We grant home care based on a service needs assessment.
Becoming a home care client
Home care is a means to support you when you need help with everyday activities. We grant home care based on a service needs assessment.
Rehabilitative Assessment
We assess your ability to function and your need of support if you are e.g. an elderly person who is being discharged from a hospital.
Temporary or short-term home care
You can receive temporary home care if your ability to function becomes temporarily impaired.
Mobility agreement
We conclude a mobility agreement with regular home care clients in order to support their functional ability and ability to cope at home.

Manage your health and social care in Maisa

In the Maisa client portal, you can find your examination results and the entries made by the physician. In Maisa, you can also book and cancel appointments and send messages to the professionals taking care of you.
