You can use the Omaolo service ( omaolo.fi(Link leads to external service) ) to carry out a symptom assessment and receive instructions based on your answers. If necessary, you can also contact a professional through the service at any time.
Use the Maisa service ( maisa.fi(Link leads to external service) ) to contact your health station if your matter is not urgent.
In the Omakanta service ( omakanta.fi(Link leads to external service) ), you can renew prescriptions and check your health information.

Urgent care and emergency services
- Start by carrying out a symptom assessment in the Omaolo service at omaolo.fi(Link leads to external service) . The service is available 24/7. Based on your answers, you will receive instructions and can contact a professional if needed.

- you can call your health station on weekdays at 8.00–16.00 (Fridays from 8.00–15.00). At other times, call the Medical Helpline at tel. 116 117. Always call the Medical Helpline before visiting a health station for emergency services.
Urgent care in the evenings, at weekends and on public holidays is provided by the joint emergency services of Malmi, Meilahti, Jorvi and Peijas Hospitals, as well as the New Children’s Hospital.

Health stations and internal medicine outpatient clinics
From 16 June to 31 August, health stations will be open at 8.00–16.00.
Kannelmäki Health Station will be open as usual: Mon–Wed at 7.00–20.00, Thu at 7.00–18.00 and Fri at 7.00–16.00.
Ruoholahti Health Station will be open as usual on weekdays at 7.00–20.00 and on Saturdays at 9.00–15.00.
- Centralised contraceptive counselling will be open from 16 June to 10 August on weekdays at 8.00–16.00.
- Wound care services will be closed from 14 July to 3 August. During this time, clients will be referred to their local health station.
- The Herttoniemi and Vuosaari diabetes centres will be closed from 23 June to 3 August. During this period, clients will be treated at the Kalasatama unit.
- The paediatric clinic will be closed from 7 July to 27 July. During this time, children and young people will receive medical care at their local health station.
- The Herttoniemi endoscopy unit will be closed from 23 June to 1 August. Services will be provided at the Malmi unit during this period.
- Nutritional therapy will be open from 23 June to 3 August on weekdays at 8.00–16.00. All referrals, phone calls and Maisa messages will be processed. Urgent cases and consultation clients will be attended to.
- The Herttoniemi fundus photography screening unit will be closed from 14 July to 27 July 2025. All referrals, phone calls and Maisa messages will be processed.

Dental care
Dental care appointments can be booked as usual in the summer:

You can also book an appointment in person at any dental clinic.
If you need urgent dental care, please book an appointment via the Maisa service(Link leads to external service) or by phone at +358 9 310 51400, Mon–Fri at 7.00–14.00.
In the evenings, at weekends and on public holidays, emergency dental care is available at Park Hospital, tel. +358 9 471 71110.
At night, emergency oral and dental health care is provided by the Meilahti Emergency Department, tel. 116 117.

Psychiatry
The Haaga, City Centre and Myllypuro Mieppi units will be closed from 7 July to 3 August. No evening appointments will be available at Mieppi units between 2 June and 31 August.
Mental health and substance abuse nurses at health stations will not offer evening appointments between 2 June and 31 August.
The psychiatric outpatient clinics in Kalasatama, Laakso, Malmi and Vuosaari will not offer evening appointments between 2 June and 31 August.
The day unit will be closed from 7 July to 3 August.
The Centre for Bipolar Disorder Research and Care will be closed from 30 June to 3 August.
The neuropsychiatric working group will be closed from 30 June to 27 July.
The intensive outpatient treatment groups at the psychiatric outpatient clinics will be closed from 30 June to 3 August.
The psychiatric teams for children and young people will be closed from 14 July to 27 July.
The Brief Therapy Unit will be closed from 14 July to 27 July. It will not offer evening appointments between 2 June and 31 August.
Substance abuse services
Itis Symppis will be closed from 30 June to 27 July. Symppis will continue its street-based outreach work during the summer.
The substance abuse outpatient clinics of Kalasatama, Laakso, Malmi and Vuosaari will be open from 1 June to 31 August on weekdays at 8.00–16.00.
The substitution treatment unit will be open from 1 June to 31 August on weekdays at 8.00–16.00.
Substance abuse services for adults without an appointment will be available throughout the summer on weekdays at 8.30–15.30 at Kalasatama Health and Well-being Centre, tel. +358 9 310 42900.
Maternity and child health clinics
The maternity and child health clinic telephone service will be open from 16 June to 10 August on weekdays at 7.00–16.00. You can request a callback on weekdays at 8.00–12.00, tel. +358 9 310 55530.
The maternity and child health clinic chat service will be available from 16 June to 10 August on weekdays at 8.00–12.00 at hel.fi/health-and-social-services.
The maternity and child health clinics at the Itäkatu, Kallio, Kamppi and Vuosaari Family Centres will be open from 16 June to 10 August on weekdays at 8.00–16.00.
The Jakomäki Maternity and Child Health Clinic will be closed from 16 June to 31 July. During this period, clients may access services from the public health nurse at the Puistola Maternity and Child Health Clinic.
The Malmin raitti and Ruoholahti service points of the centralised maternity and child health clinic will be closed from 16 June to 10 August.
Other maternity and child health clinics will remain open throughout the summer on weekdays at 8.00–16.00.
Between 16 June and 10 August, clinics will provide check-ups for expectant mothers and children under two years of age, along with other necessary examinations.
Special services for families
The following services will be closed from 14 July to 27 July:

Student health care
During the summer, student health care services will be available at most educational institutions until Midsummer. The best way to reach a nurse is by phone or via e-services. You can also send a contact request through Wilma or by email.
Centralised student health care services will be available throughout the summer by appointment at Lintulahdenkatu 10, 7th floor. Somatic treatment for special care clients will be provided as usual at the client’s local health station. In emergencies, treatment can be sought via joint emergency departments or emergency social services.
The Disability Outpatient Clinic at Sofianlehdonkatu 8 (building A) and its telephone advice service will be closed from 7 July to 3 August. The outpatient clinic’s summer team will respond to clients’ Maisa messages, and treatment of special care clients will continue as normal throughout the summer. In emergencies, clients can seek treatment via the joint emergency departments of health care services or emergency social services.
Senior services
Senior Info will operate as normal throughout the summer. The telephone service and information point (Siltasaarenkatu 2) will be open on weekdays at 9.00–15.00. Tel. +358 9 310 44556(Link starts a phone call)

The assistive device services’ mobile unit will be on summer break from 30 June to 17 August.

The Geriatric Outpatient Clinic’s appointment and memory coordinator activities (Sturenkatu 8) will be closed from 7 July to 20 July.
The Palliative Outpatient Clinic (Suursuonlaita 3 B) will be closed from 7 July to 27 July. The infusion outpatient clinic in the same premises will remain open as normal.
The frontline veterans’ rehabilitation office (Lääkärinkatu 6 C) will be closed from 14 July to 3 August.
