Malmgård Daycare is located just a stone's throw from Malmgård train station. You can find us in the courtyard of an apartment complex, featuring our own fenced play area. The yard is safe and boasts lovely apple trees and lilacs that bloom in the spring. The daycare accommodates approximately 50 children aged 1-5 across three groups-Blåbären (Blueberries), Krusbären (Gooseberries), and Smultronen (Wild Strawberries)-which collaborate across group boundaries.

The groups share some spaces, fostering a sense of community among the children. The staff strives to create a secure learning environment where children feel welcome, valued, and happy to arrive. We work to ensure that both children and staff enjoy their time together.

Malmgård Daycare forms a joint early childhood education unit together with Lasse-Maja Daycare, Sockenstugan Daycare, and Malmgård Preschool.

The unit manager is Linnea Uggeldahl (09 310 39080, linnea.uggeldahl@hel.fi), and the deputy manager is Linda Mattsson-Autio (09 310 26787, linda.mattsson-autio@hel.fi).

For questions regarding daycare applications, please contact the service guidance unit at 09 31080488. Please call on Tuesdays between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., which are the designated phone hours for the service advisor for Swedish-language early childhood education. This number also handles general inquiries about early childhood education applications in Finnish (Mon-Wed and Fri 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., and Thu 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.). You can also email the service guidance unit at varepalveluohjaus@hel.fi.
